22nd Frances Tustin Memorial Prize

Dear colleagues,

I am delighted to let you know that after a lot of work, thinking and deliberations the Frances Tustin Trust board has decided that the 22nd Frances Tustin Memorial Prize will be awarded this year to Louise Gyler, Ph.D., a Child and Adult Training Analyst of the Australian Psychoanalytical Society for her outstanding paper ‘The Violence of the Real’ In Unrepresented Experience. Louise will present her paper at the 22nd Frances Tustin Memorial Lectureship day that will take place on November 15th, 2019 at Tel Aviv University. You are, of course, all invited to participate. We are working now on the program of this day and as soon as the program is settled you will receive more details and registration forms. Meanwhile please save this date!

Please also remember that the next International Frances Tustin conference, “Enlivening Autistic Withdrawals”, will take place next year in Warsaw, between September 11th-September 13th, 2020. Some pre-conference activities (workshops on Frances Tustin’s thinking and supervision groups) will take place on Thursday, September 10th, 2020. So please save these dates too! Of course you will receive full details when the program is ready. This conference is a joint project of The Frances Tustin Memorial Trust and The Polish Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (PTPP).

Please feel free to forward this information to your colleagues[Alina Schellekes]  and members of your societies.

My warmest wishes,

Alina Schellekes,

Chair of The Frances Tustin Memorial Trust
