Dear Colleagues

The ANZAP Conference Committee, in conjunction with the ANZAP Management Committee and Professor Russell Meares, invite you to submit an Abstract for this year's Annual Conference to be held on Saturday, October 22nd at Ridges Hotel, World Square, Sydney.


We are following the theme of our conference seminars ”Deep Roots of Trauma: Attachment and Adaptation through the Lifespan”.


Professor Else Guthrie will be our keynote speaker, zooming in from the UK. Else was trained by Bob Hobson, and has published many research papers using CM for the psychotherapeutic method.


We invite the submission of Abstracts for individual or group presentations for the main conference on October 22nd. Presentations may be planned for 45-50 minutes (plus 10 minutes discussion time). Abstracts and biographies should be between 150 and 300 words each and must be emailed to the ANZAP office at the address below.


Abstracts must include:


• the title of the paper;

• aims and objectives of the paper; and

• a summary of the main content of the paper


Closing date for submissions is Friday, 1st July.

Pre-Conference Workshops:

Two pre-conference workshops will be held on Friday, 21st October at the Aerial Function Centre, UTS, Sydney. One of our presenters will be Adelaide-based Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Gestalt Psychotherapist Dr Jackie Amos, who will present a workshop on Attachment in Infancy and Middle Childhood. Dr Amos will also be a keynote speaker during the conference on the weekend.
