The Psychotherapy Section will present 2 keynote speakers at the College Congress in Hobart this May. Professor Mark Solm will discuss “Is Psychoanalysis Scientifically Viable? The Example of Dream Theory”. Assoc Prof Frances Thompson-Salo will present a session entitled “Cells, Circuits and Consequences: Keeping the Baby in Mind. There will also be a number of relevant Pre-Congress Workshops including Mark Benjamin’s half-day workshop entitled “Psychotherapy in day-to-day practice in public mental health services-concepts from the conversational model of psychotherapy””. In addition there will be an Introduction to CBT Workshop held by Dr Edward Wims and Assoc Prof Frances Thompson-Salo holding a session on Parent-Infant Psychotherapy.
