for the 2011-2013 course commencing Wednesday 10th August 2011

The course

runs on a Wednesday evening 6-9pm over 24 months from August 10th 2011 – November 30th 2011,

 

 

February 8th 2012 - November 7th 2012 (semester breaks are during school holidays). February 13th 2013 – June 12th 2013

the library at Graduate House 244 Leicester Street, Carlton

 

 

Course Aims

this is a clinical course and the focus is on a contemporary psychodynamic approach to psychotherapy: how to understand what are the dynamics that may be operating during a session how to know when the clinician and/ or patient get stuck in an impasse.

 

 

The College

the College is an incorporated not for profit educational organisation committed to furthering the knowledge and the profession of psychodynamic psychotherapy.

 

 

The College is a member association of PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia).

 

The College provides seminars, an infant observation group and supervision that satisfies the RANZCP requirements of Advanced Training in the Psychotherapy (IDP) stream.

 

The Faculty

the seminar leaders are psychiatrists, and allied mental health professionals, they are all practicing psychotherapists.

 

 

Accreditation

the course is approved by RANZCP Committee for Advanced Training in the Psychotherapy Individual Dynamic Psychotherapy Programme.

 

 

Fees

the Fees per year cover the seminar programme and the infant observation group and total $3,500.00 that can be paid in three installments.
